Night, by Bethie 9G

There’s mysteries to be found,

In the darkness, underground,

There’s countless unknowns in the sea,

Which may be found be you or me.

But scientists don’t realise,

That in the night, there’s prying eyes,

The children in the world are wide awake,

And every sound, in they take,

There’s monsters here, and monsters there,

Strange, unknown objects everywhere,

Unknowns crowd each house at night,

For daylight brings them fear and fright.

With wide eyes open, children do not wait,

They do not cry, or hesitate,

They run to the switch on the light,

Down the stairs, they jumpĀ in flight,

Tell mother what you’ve seen,

Why it’s there, and where it’s been,

Mother will always sort it out,

Monsters are scared when mum’s about!
